World's Most Delicious Board Game

Many people have been asking me about how to get into designer board games, so I'm planning some blog posts about it soon.  In the meantime, check out this edible version of one of the best, Settlers of Catan.  You can find the recipe here.

I'm new to your blog though I've been with TRS since the start. Just wanted to say I'm extremely excited to see a promise of future blog posts about boardgames!

Introducing people to Boardgame Geek and Tom's good videos and podcast at The Dice Tower are great starts, and of course throwing down Settlers or Dominion as easy gateway games to get them interested in trying the heavier games later on.

I'll definitely be checking back for these posts, and hey, a board game segment on TRS would be great to see some day as well!

Quick follow up, next time you're in Toronto, if you have time, you should check out Snakes and Lattes, a fairly new board game cafe -- http://www.snakesandlattes.com/. I haven't been myself as I'm a couple hours away from Toronto, but from what I understand it's a cafe with a $5 cover, typical cafe food and beverages, plus alcohol, and the $5 cover lets you sit and play any of their massive game collection for as long as you want.
