    26.2 2012

Better late than never, I suppose.  Here, finally, is my LA Marathon 2012 video, chronicling my journery through this year's race.  I finished with a chip time of 4:07:35, which is a new PR.  Special thanks to Aimee for editing this video.

I've really been thrilled to hear how many people have been inspired to take up running after hearing about my experience with it.  I'm always trying to get more geeks in sneaks.  My biggest pieces of advice?  Get good shoes, and protect those nipples!

Jeff! Great job! Sorry the end was so brutal but you did AWESOME!

I've just started running and even 3 miles kills me right now. I'm am super impressed by you! You look awesome, too. Definitely look like a runner, all long and lean muscle!

Great job man. You looked strong through the portions you recorded. Thank goodness for that hill training huh? I'm glad you finished injury free since I wasn't so lucky recently. I must have done something to my knee after my half in February. I have this recurring ache behind me knee cap if I train more then a couple days in a row. Hopefully, it's just inflammation but may I need to get an MRI before I seriously start training for the full. I hope to do the the Marine Corps Marathon in October. Keep up the great work on TRS and Weekend Confirmed your input is always valued.

Great run champ. You are an inspiration as my running miles increase slowly. Running my second ½ marathon in little under two months time. Not sure when I'm doing the full marathon, but it will come :-)

    Jeff,

I'm 42 and you got me inspired to start running again after last year's la marathon. I finished my first half marathon this March (2:01). Keep up the great work...and a sincere thank you from me.

    Cheers, Jim

Nice work! I'm proud of you man. Your efforts have spawned this 40 year old to enter the Tough Mudder here in Wisconsin. I'll be starting my training very soon and thanks you to I'll be able to think, "At least it's not an F'ing marathon!" when things start to get rough. Hope to see more posts and take care.

Amazing job, Jeff! You are one of many who inspire others to become runners. Last November, I finished my 1st full marathon - the ING NYC marathon. I knew what to expect on the first 13 miles since I've done several 1/2 marathons. The other 13.2 miles is where your will power gets tested. In the end, you feel an incredible sense of accomplishment. And now, I've become an inspiration for other geeks to join in :)

Thanks for sharing your story and keep up the good work on TRS!
