Celebrity Guest at Broadly Speaking

I've been invited to be the celebrity guest for an awesome comedy night/charity fundraiser called Broadly Speaking.  I'm very excited about this, since not only will it be a great night of comedy, featuring female stand-ups, but I will be wagering my own money in a game that I am guaranteed to lose.  That's right, The Game is Rigged, and I'll be donating the money I lose to charity.

Even better, the fine folks at Broadly Speaking have agreed to grant a few of my fans free tickets to the show!  If you email with "Fans of Jeff" in the subject line, and include your name and whether you'd like 1 or 2 comps in the body of the email, you'll be able to see the show this Monday night for free.

I think it will be a great show for a wonderful cause.  Hope you can make it!

    My Canadian VW Commercial

Here it is, the VW commercial I did recently, for Canadain markets only.  I'm told it debuted during the Grammy's this year, and I think it is pretty cute.

The 39 Steps opens to great reviews!

Happy to report that our opening weekend of The 39 Steps at the Norris Center for the Performing Arts was a smashing success!  Only 6 more performances until we move to Palm Springs!  You can buy tickets here.

The Huffington Post calls our production an "outlandishly funny and incredibly staged story of love and espionage", says, "The production abounds with slapstick that borders on magic, and humor that melds seamlessly into hilarity", and "Cannata and Olds were formidable in their roles."  You can read the entire review here.

Broadway World describes the show as "A wildly entertaining experience" and says, "Cannata is a joy to watch."  You can read that review here.

The also weighs in by saying, "This production at the Norris Center is exceptional."  The full review can be seen here.

I hope you get a chance to see this spectacular production.  I am quite proud to be a part of it, and have no doubt you'll have a fantastic time.  Grab your tickets now for our Norris run - or get advance tickets for our upcoming move to the Annenberg Theatre in Palm Springs.

    Bonus Round with 2 Michaels

Jeff Cannata stars in The 39 Steps opening Jan 24th!

So thrilled to invite you to one of the most fun, thrilling, hilarious shows I've ever been a part of!

Starting Friday, January 24th, I'll be onstage as Richard Hannay in The 39 Steps.  The show opens at the Norris Center in Palos Verdes, and you can buy tickets here.

Then, on Feb 29th, the show moves to the Annenberg Theatre in Palm Springs for even more performances! Tickets on sale here.

So what is it?  The 39 Steps is the protoypical Hitchcock thriller of an innocent man accused of murder, on the run from a group of spies and the police, all the while trying to unravel a dangerous conspiracy.  It has action sequences, planes, trains, and automobiles, love and adventure, and a cast of hundreds... but, like an incredible, hilarious magic show, it is all done on stage with only 4 actors and a few props!

I have to say, I have done a lot of theatre in my time, but this may be the best show I've ever been a part of.  The level of talent involved is so amazing - I feel incredibly lucky to work with these folks.  I can guarantee you'll love it.  It is a celebration of theatricalty and one of the wildest, silliest, most fun nights you'll ever have at the theatre.  I hope you can come!
