Jeff Cannata stars in The 39 Steps opening Jan 24th!

So thrilled to invite you to one of the most fun, thrilling, hilarious shows I've ever been a part of!

Starting Friday, January 24th, I'll be onstage as Richard Hannay in The 39 Steps.  The show opens at the Norris Center in Palos Verdes, and you can buy tickets here.

Then, on Feb 29th, the show moves to the Annenberg Theatre in Palm Springs for even more performances! Tickets on sale here.

So what is it?  The 39 Steps is the protoypical Hitchcock thriller of an innocent man accused of murder, on the run from a group of spies and the police, all the while trying to unravel a dangerous conspiracy.  It has action sequences, planes, trains, and automobiles, love and adventure, and a cast of hundreds... but, like an incredible, hilarious magic show, it is all done on stage with only 4 actors and a few props!

I have to say, I have done a lot of theatre in my time, but this may be the best show I've ever been a part of.  The level of talent involved is so amazing - I feel incredibly lucky to work with these folks.  I can guarantee you'll love it.  It is a celebration of theatricalty and one of the wildest, silliest, most fun nights you'll ever have at the theatre.  I hope you can come!

ANNOUNCEMENT: Jeff Cannata Teams with 5by5 for a New Show!

    Big news, here, folks!

I am proud to announce that my brand new show on the 5by5 Network will debut LIVE tomorrow, January 8th 2014 at 11am Pacific Time!

The new show, all about video games and tabletop games, will be called DLC, and will feature the supremely awesome Christian Spicer as my co-host.

Best of all, because I'm teaming up with 5by5, we will be able to record and stream the show LIVE each week, which will allow us to include a healthy dose of audience interaction and discussion.  That's right, YOU will be able to live chat, send tweets, and even CALL IN to the show in real time to discuss the hottest topics, new releases, and games with us!

This will be a whole new type of show for me - one that I've been wanting to do for a long time now.  One that relies heavily on audience participation and involvement.  I want YOU to be able to dictate a lot of what we discuss, and contribute topics, ideas, and opinions.

We will have special guests from games media, recurring segments, and a ton of gaming content - and, of course, you'll be able to download the show as a podcast and listen at your leisure every week - but I'm hoping the live, interactive format of the show will make for appointment listening and create a more interesting, dynamic format than I have ever been able to achieve before.

So get excited!  The show debuts tomorrow, and I'm hoping you'll tune in live, join in the chat, and even call into the show by calling 512-518-5714 when we are recording.

The show will be at 5by5.tv/dlc and you can also listen live on any device by going to 5by5.fm or join the IRC at 5by5.tv/live
