The 39 Steps Moves to Palm Springs, Continues Critical Acclaim!
Our critically lauded production of The 39 Steps made the big move to Palm Springs last week, and opened to enthusiastic audiences and even more positive reviews.
The Coachella Valley Independent raved, "The 39 Steps is a must-see, regardless of wet weather or any other excuse."
"It’s an homage to Hitchcock, a murder-mystery that paradoxically rocks you with laughter and acting brilliance."
"An unforgettable demonstration of acting chops by brilliant thespians. Their energy alone is breath-taking."
"A display of pure talent is always exciting, and it will raise your respect for the profession to see this show."
With praise that, how can you miss it? The entire glowing review can be read here, and you can grab tickets for our remaining 7 performances here.

Over on my weekly video game show DLC, we are about to kick off our first annual March Madness competition!
Just like the NCAA Tournament, we are building brackets to crown this year's champion. But we are doing it with video games. Submitted entirely by listeners of the show, here are the top 32 games that have made the tournament, along with their seeding. The games that garnered the most votes were seeded highest. We got an overwhelming response, and a ton of deserving and highly voted games didn't make the cut. Here are the top 32, divided into 2 divisions:
And here is the bracket. You can print your own copy from this website. Submit your completed bracket to dlcfeedback@gmail.com before March 3rd to compete against other listeners of DLC!
And tune in (and call in - 512-518-5714) to DLC throughout the month of March to help us debate the winners in each head-to-head match up!
CATCH THE MADNESS!!!
Jeff Cannata as Detective Fleming on FOX's Rake
My episode of Rake premiered tonight on FOX. Hope you got a chance to see it. As Detective Fleming, I confronted, interrogated, chased down, and apprehended the fleeing Michael Imperioli. It was a fun scene - hopefully the fine folks at Rake will bring my character back in future episodes. :)
Here are a couple of stills from the episode, in case you missed it:
More praise for The 39 Steps!
Two more excellent reviews have hit for our production of The 39 Steps, and at this point, with every single review gushing, I think we can safely call the show "critically acclaimed". After all, BitterLemons.com, which aggregates reviews based on a sweet and sour scale, judges our production to be "100% Sweet"!
Willcall.org says of our production, "It's one of the cleverest shows you'll ever have the good fortune to catch. Miss it at your peril."
And, "As wonderful as the surprising staging is, the ultimate credit goes to the actors. Congrats to the Casting Director who found this quartet of talented performers"
And, "Cannata, the attractive leading man is an elegant Brit with perfect diction but never snobbish, who keeps his cool facing unknown enemies and dangerous predicaments."
Meanwhile, the reviewer over at RandomLengthsNews.com, writes, "you’ll come out of the theater laughed out and with more laughs to come as you remember a favorite moment."
And "Cannata is perfect as Hannay, a man who lives without friends in London and wants some adventure. (He gets a lot.) He never loses his cool, his Harris Tweed suit never gets mussed and he ends up happily married."
It is true that our run of performances at the Norris Center has ended, but fear not! You still have an opportunity to see the show in Palms Springs, when we re-open at The Annenberg Theatre. I hope you can make it! Grab your tickets here.
